CWG 2022 Birmingham: Day 5 was very special for the Indian team in the Commonwealth Games 2022 as the country won its first ever Gold medal in Lawn Bowls. The Indian table tennis team also defended their gold medal against Singapore. Vikas Thakur won India a silver in the men’s 96 kg weightlifting event. India also settled for a silver in the mixed team badminton event after they lost to Malaysia in the final. As of Day 5, India have won a total of 13 medals, 5 Golds, 5 Silvers and Three Bronze. They stand sixth on the points table. Australia are at the top of the table with 106 medals, including 42 Golds. Meanwhile, India will look to extend their medals tally on Day 6. Three medals will be up for grabs for India in weightlifting, athletics and squash. Here’s the complete schedule of India in CWG Day 6.
