As Croronavirus pandemic is rising across the country, cricketers Irfan and Yusuf Pathan did “their bit” for the society on Monday by donating face masks to fans and security personnel, etc to spread awareness.

Irfan took to Instagram and shared a video where he opens a pack, full of face masks, then Yusuf explains, it is in the name of their father and their trust.

Advising the citizens not to gather in a crowd, the two-time World Cup-winner urged people to help each other during such bad times.

The video was captioned with a note which read, “Doing our bit for the society. Whatever u guys can do please go ahead and help each other as far as sanitation is concerned.But don’t gather crowd!”

The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) will keep a close watch on the pandemic situation and will give an update on IPL on March 24. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has said that if the tournament has to happen it has to be a truncated one.

With the escalating COVID19 threat, people have been advised to stay indoors and clean as a precautionary measure. The number of positive cases in India has gone past the 400-mark and the number is on the rise.
