Cricket Australia to run training program for coaches in India

Addressing the media prior to the event, Martin Gleeson (3-L), CEO – Sports Education Development India Ltd said the Coach Induction Program will bring together Indian coaches with their knowledge and experience and combines it with the latest coach methodology and teaching techniques.

Cricket Australia will train, assess and certify coaches in India through the Cricket Education Program Coach Induction from September 20 to September 26, 2012 in Jaipur.

This program held by Cricket India Academy, will focuses on theory and practical cricket coaching sessions and will be conducted by expert Cricket Australia Coach Educators to blend Indian cricket skills and knowledge with modern coaching techniques and methodologies.

Coaches from Mumbai, Kolhapur, Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Coorg, Dharmapuri, Thane and Ahmedabad have been selected for the intensive training program and will be given specific training on the delivery of Cricket Education Program, its methodologies and content and its application to the next generation of aspiring young cricketers.

Cricket Australia expert Coach Educators Steven Rynne, John Stock and Clinton Reid will run the program and share their vast experience of coach training in Australia and also internationally. All are Cricket Australia Level Three Coaches with a vast experience in coach training and education.

Ex Indian cricketer and Cricket India Academy Coach Director Pravin Amre will also be involved in the Induction as well as the ongoing development of coaches and players.
