Former Pakistan captain and bowling coach Waqar Younis raised doubts on Dennis Lillee s experiment to coach aspiring fast bowlers online.

“The game of cricket is not played on laptops. I have played ample cricket and learnt a lot from the ground and sitting out on the bench,” Waqar was quoted as saying by pakistantoday.com.pk

Deniss Lillee recently quit as the Director of MRF Pace Foundation and decided to conduct online bowling programmes.

“Lillee is a huge name in fast-bowling coaching and may have decided to hire the latest technology and method, but I don’t know how far it would work ” Waqar said.

“He might or might not succeed as an online coach,” Waqar added.

The former Pakistani pacer was however happy that Glenn McGrath took over as the Director of the pace academy after Lillee.

“The new man Glenn McGrath is a good choice to head the MRF [Pace Foundation]. One legend has replaced the other, I must say,” Waqar concluded.
