As the world unites to fight the coronavirus pandemic that has brought the world to a standstill, Bangladesh cricketer Liton Das has said that with the entire world in danger, cricket is not even in his mind now as life comes first.
“At the present situation, cricket is not even in my thoughts. The whole world is in danger. If we can survive, only then we can play or do whatever we were doing. Right now, this is not the time for cricket,” Liton was quoted as saying in an interview with New Age on Monday, April 6.
Das, whose wife Sanchita suffered burns on her hands and hair due to a gas cylinder blast, is doing well now, confirmed the cricketer.
“She is ok now. Her wounds have recovered. She is not facing any difficulties. After the accident, we changed the faulty cylinder and burners,” he stated.
Das was a part of the Rajshahi Royals in the Bangladesh Premier League said that he is following all the guidelines given by the board.
“I am maintaining my own routine. It is almost same as the BCB prescribed guidelines. I can’t tell you any movie’s name which left a deep mark in my mind because I hardly remember anything after I am finished watching it. I do it just to pass time, for something to look at.” Liton added.
