Cricket World Cup 2019: India team profile – all you need to know

Led by Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket team enters the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as one of the favourites to lift the trophy.

Ranked second in the ICC ratings for ODI teams, India boast a formidable batting lineup headlined by Kohli, the top-ranked batsman, and featuring a hugely successful opening pair in Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma backed by MS Dhoni’s vault of experience and the big-hitting skills of Hardik Pandya.

The bowling is led by the No 1 ranked bowler in ODIs, Jasprit Bumrah, with solid support from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami and the spin threat of Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravindra Jadeja.
