A Teenager participating in a cricket match in Orango Town of Karachi in Pakistan has succumbed to a blow sustained on the chest.

According to NDTVSPORTS 18 year old Zeeshaan Mohammad was felled after sustaining a blow to the chest off a fast bowler. He was brought dead to the hospital.

The unfortunate death of the 18 year old is the second such tragedy to transpire on the cricket field, as Australian batsman Phillip Hughes suffered a similar fate when he was struck by a Sean Abbott bouncer in a Sheffield Shield encounter. Hughes was in an induced coma but passed away after battling for his life for two days.

Another Australian batsman, Daniel Hughes, was hit on the neck by a bouncer recently but the blow didn’t cause any lasting damage other than a momentary collapse. Prior to the sad demise of Hughes, Ahmed Shahzad suffered a minor crack in his skull after being struck on the helmet by a Corey Anderson Bouncer .
