CSA awards: Quinton de Kock, Sune Luus named South Africa cricketers of the year
Apart from de Cock, men’s team cricketers like Temba Bavuma, Imran Tahir and Kagiso Rabada were the others to be acknowledged for their spectacular show in the previous year.

Quinton de Kock was bestowed with a number of awards, including the Cricketer of the Year Award, in the Cricket South Africa (CSA) awards announced recently. Sune Luus of South Africa Womenâs team got the award for the womenâs cricketer of the year. Apart from de Cock, menâs team cricketers like Temba Bavuma, Imran Tahir and Kagiso Rabada were the others to be acknowledged for their spectacular show in the previous year. De Kock bagged a total of five awards this year. Previous year, it was Kagiso Rabada who stunned everyone with his performance to bag six awards in the same ceremony. The five awards that de Kock won included South Africa Cricketer of the Year, Test Cricketer of the Year and ODI Cricketer of The Year. He also won the Player of the Year award in Fansâ choice and Cricketersâ choice category as well. Tahir bagged the T20I Cricketer of the year while Keshav Maharaj got the award for the international newcomer of the year. Bavuma got the Award of Excellence for his brilliant run out of David Warner and Rabada was given the award for the Delivery of the Year for his delivery to dismiss Usman Khawaja, both in the same match. Farhaan Behardien got the T20 Challenge Player of the Season, reported EspnCricinfo.
Apart from Luus, Lizelle Lee, and Laura Wolvaardt got the awards for Playersâ Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year respectively.
The year has been very fruitful for de Kock, which saw him score his career-best ODI knock of 178 runs.
