CSK qualify for CLT20 2014 semi-finals
Sep 30, 2014
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have qualified for the semi finals, after Lahore Lions were unable to restrict Perth Scorchers to 78, in the 19th match of Champions League Twenty 20. The Lions’ bowlers put up a fabulous performance, but were undone by some great batting by stand-in captain Mitchell Marsh.
CSK will now join KKR, KXIP and Hobart Hurricanes in the semi-finals. Earlier, Lahore Lions batted really badly and lost quick wickets at the top. They were reeling at 11 for 4, at one point when Umar Akmal and Saad Nasim combined to help the Lions recover. Akmal fell after scoring 26, but Nasim continued till the end, and scored 69.
