Dale Steyn bowls the widest wide of his career… by HDMoviez

In the ongoing West Indies tour of South Africa 2014-15, the teams played three Tests, before proceeding to three Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) and five One-Day Internationals (ODIs).

The third Test was played at Cape Town, in which West Indies elected to bat first. South Africa dominated the major part of first day.

Dale Steyn, who had taken the wicket of Kraigg Brathwaite, was bowling the 70th over. Facing him was Jermaine Blackwood. He proceeded to bowl the last ball of the over and in attempt to fire one toe-crusher; Steyn bowled a massive wide ball.

The ball went wide off the leg stump and ran away to the boundary. It was so wide that even a leg-slip couldn’t have stopped that. Steyn was seen returning back to bowl and discussing the delivery with Morne Morkel, while Hashim Amla joked about it with other team-mates.

Again in the 86th over, Steyn almost attempted the same feat. He fired another wild one down the leg-side but this time it was in the range of wicket-keeper AB de Villiers to dive towards his left and collect it.
