Dale Steyn gets 350th Test wicket; second fastest to landmark
Dale Steyn reaches 350-wickets milestone

Dec 30, 2013
Dale Steyn, on Monday, grabbed his 350th Test wicket. He got the wicket of Ishant Sharma on Day Five of the second Test vs India at Durban to reach the landmark.
The South African speedstar has reached the landmark second fastest after Sri Lanka’s spin wizard, Muttiah Muralitharan, and beats Richard Hadlee to take the spot.
Playing in his 69th Test match, Steyn is the fastest South African to do so, as he beat Shaun Pollock‘s record (86 matches) by a margin of 17 games. After having a relatively low-key first Test, Steyn got back to business in the second Test. He had bagged six wickets in the first innings, and three in second innings to take his match tally to nine. He ruffled the Indian batting early on, and then proved too fast for the tail.
Steyn has, from time to time, reasserted why he is regarded as the best paceman in the world, in this generation. His Test records boasts of 350 wickets from just 69 matches at an average of 23.07, and a strike rate of 42.2. He has 21 five-wicket hauls to his name, along with five ten-wicket hauls.
