South African pacer Dale Steyn recently posted an old picture of him with his ‘old man’. Steyn’s father turned 59 on Friday and the cricketer wished him on Instagram posting a picture from his childhood. In the picture, Steyn is seen sitting on his father’s lap with his sister. Steyn is one of the most active cricketers on social media and loves posting pictures on Instagram. Recently, it was his grandfather’s birthday for which he posted a picture wishing him and this time it is his father whom he calls his ‘old man’ and wishes for his birthday.

Steyn wrote on his official Instagram account, “Happy bday to my old man! 59 and still as cool as you were in this pic. Love you lots Dad, have the best day!” and attached a photo with it. Steyn is currently sidelined due to his shoulder injury that he picked during the first Test against Australia at the latter’s home. The speedster has previously faced persisting issues with his right shoulder and while bowling in the first Test, he suffered a fracture in the same which forced him to go underknife. The operation ruled him out of on-field activities for at least six months. However, the bowler is aiming a comeback by June 2017. ALSO READ: Dale Steyn rules himself out of IPL 2017

Steyn has ruled himself out for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL) as well. Steyn, who is five wickets away from breaking the record of Shaun Pollock to become the most successful Test bowler South Africa has ever produced, hopes to start light activities from February next year.

Happy birthday to the coolest grandfather ever! Love you Oupie! #80 #taughtmewell
