Former Pakistan cricketer on Friday urged Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh to come forward and help the minorities in Pakistan during the coronavirus pandemic that has brought the world to a halt. Not long back, the Indian World Cup-winners shared their support to former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi’s foundation in Pakistan to support the poor and underprivileged in the troubled times.

“I request @YUVSTRONG12 and @harbhajan_singh to make a video for the minorities living in Pakistan as well. They need your help in this moment of #coronacrisis,” tweeted Kaneria.

Yuvraj and Harbhajan had also faced flak for generating support for Afridi’s Foundation.

Yuvraj countered the trolls on Twitter where he wrote, “I really don’t understand how a message to help the most vulnerable gets blown out of proportion! All I tried to achieve via that message was to help people in our respective countries by providing healthcare, my intention was not to hurt anyone’s feelings. I’m an Indian and will always bleed blue and will always stand for humanity. Jai Hind.”

Meanwhile, the cash-rich Indian Premier League could get canceled due to the pandemic, like most major events across the globe.

To fight the coronavirus, sports personalities and athletes have come forward and contributed via donations.
