We were also done in by some bad umpiring decisions in the Galle Test. But the results against South Africa was not an easy pill to swallow. We knew they were strong but we still had a chance to do little better," he added.

Whatmore said the team would miss the services of injured pacer Umar Gul but it still has enough firepower to do well in the eight nation June 6-23 event.

"We are placed in a tough group but this is 50-over cricket and it will all come down to how well we execute our plans on the match day. Otherwise we have some very talented and some very experienced players in the squad," he said.
