Perth: David Warner has gifted signed pair of gloves to a young Afghan boy who was hit during the Australia-Afghanistan ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 clash at the WACA, Perth. During his whirlwind innings of 178 against the Afghans, Warner hit numerous sixes, one of which struck the young boy Shahabuddin, on the torso. “Yeah, I didn’t realise until I saw it on the big screen. I gave him a pair of gloves and signed them and I just had a little quick chat there with him and his father, and he’s a bit better now. He had a little bit of a bandage on him, but I said I hope he gets well. Didn’t have much to say, though,” Warner said.
