India end Day Four of the third Test against West Indies at 135 for 3 at St Lucia. Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane are the two unbeaten batsmen for India. The duo have added over 50 runs for the fourth wicket, which was crucial considering India lost wickets at regular intervals. India have a lead of 259 runs and will look to add a few more quickly on Day Five and make West Indies chase. After Day Three was completely washed out, West Indies resumed at 107 for 1 on Day Four. After some resistance in the first session, they lost seven wickets in the second session for just 31 runs and wvere eventually bowled out for 225. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the star bowler for India, finishing with 5 for 33 – all five wickets coming in the post-lunch session.  India then played five overs before tea and were comfortably placed at 31 for no loss. Openers KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan fot India off to a good start, putting 49 on the board off just 45 deliveries. That’s when Rohit and Rahane came together and started playing positively. Rahane got to a well deserved fifty and Rohit after failing in the first innings has gotten off to a good start. The match was precariously placed at the beginning of the day, but now the match is clearly India’s to lose. West Indies will be ruing the fact that they folded so quickly despite getting off to a good start.

On Day One, West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first. India were bowled out for 353 in their first innings after excellent centuries from Ravichandran Ashwin and Wriddhiman Saha. India lead the four-match series 1-0.
