Match preview DC vs RCB

Sitting on the third spot with 14 points against their name, Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), currently on the eighth spot but showing the signs of revival, in the 46th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL)2019 at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi on Sunday.

The Shreyas Iyer-led side is coming into this game on the back of two wins – against Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Virat Kohli’s RCB, meanwhile, will be chasing their fourth successive win, having beaten KXIP, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their previous three games.

While DC are almost certain to make it to the playoffs, unless a chaotic last three games, and the other permutations and combinations spoil the party, this game is yet another must-win game for Kohli and Co. as they aim to keep their playoffs hopes alive despite the six successive losses in the first half of the tournament this season.

Whatever happens at Kotla, a winning streak will come to an end, will it be of the home team or of the opposition that’s being led by the Delhi man?

Dream 11 Tips and Predictions

While DC were pushed on the backfoot in a few games this season, they have found a different set of match-winners. The latest is Rishabh Pant. Although he had a quiet tournament following his unbeaten 78-run blitz against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the opening game, he made a return to form, once again scoring an unbeaten 78, powering DC to win in their previous game against RR.

With Shikhar Dhawan scoring runs in a last few games, DC’s batting looks in a good shape. Coming to their bowling attack, the focus will once again be on how the Purple Cap-holder Kagiso Rabada performs.

While Dale Steyn’s injury and subsequent return to South Africa is big blow for RCB, the likes of Umesh Yadav and Navdeep Saini shoulder the responsibility to guide RCB to a win in the previous game against KXIP. Although Kohli did not score heavily, AB de Villiers and Marcus Stoinis turned up big time. The two alongside, Kohli and Parthiv will be crucial as RCB seek fourth win a row.
