In his innings of 118 Dean Elgar, became the sixth South African and 50th player in the world to carry his bat through against England in the on-going first Test at Durban. Dean Elgar who started to bat post lunch session on Day 2 for South Africa remained unbeaten on 118* playing 246 balls. He stayed on the crease for 386 long mintues hitting eight four and one six in the process. Gary Kisten achieved this feat at Faisalabad remaining not out on hundred playing 239 balls.
