Bravo admits to sending 'Messages' to Gambhir ahead of IPL 2025

West Indies legend Dwayne Bravo, who had replaced Gautam Gambhir as the mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has now stated that he is going to mix some elements from the ideologies of the former KKR strategist with his own special style for the IPL 2025.

KKR had won their third IPL title last year as Gambhir played a major role behind the scenes. Now the champions have turned to Bravo ahead og the 2025 season begins. “Unfortunately, we lost some players. But I think GG had his style, I have my style. We’re both successful in our own ways,” Bravo said.

Even though Bravo said that he has his own style, he also admitted about reaching out to Gambhir to know more about the insights.

“Definitely, I messaged him a few times and stuff. But again, I will be leaning a lot on these guys because they had a successful formula. And it’s important that we follow that formula,” he said during KKR’s first media interaction ahead of the upcoming season.

Kolkata Knight Riders are going to begin their Indian Premier League 2025 campaign as they face Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Eden Gardens on March 22.
