Delhi Capitals entered the upcoming WPL Auction with Rs 5.70 crore remaining in their budget. The team can now add 13 more players â four from overseas and nine from India â bringing their squad to the maximum size of 18. The BCCI has set specific price ranges for retained players, with a total auction purse of Rs 15 crore. Shafali Verma was retained for Rs 2.2 crore, Jemimah Rodrigues for Rs 2.2 crore, Marizanne Kapp for Rs 2.2 crore, and Annabel Sutherland for Rs 2.2 crore. The fifth player has a fixed value of Rs 50 lakh.
The Delhi Capitals will not have any Right to Match (RTM) cards in the auction, as teams allowed to retain a maximum of five players, and all five retentions have been utilized.

The team has retained a strong core of players ahead of the upcoming 2026 WPL season. Shafali Verma leads the list with a Rs 2.2 crore contract, followed by Jemimah Rodrigues at Rs 2.2 crore and Marizanne Kapp at Rs 2.22 crore. Annabel Sutherland has been retained for Rs 2.2 crore, while Niki Prasad remains part of the squad with a Rs 50 lakh contract, ensuring a balanced mix of experienced players and emerging talent.
