The Delhi High Court Monday restrained the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) from distributing more than 10,000 complementary passes for matches at the Ferozshah Kotla Stadium.

A division bench of Justice Pradeep Nandrajog and Justice S.P. Garg set aside the court’s Oct 13 order allowing DDCA’s plea to distribute 15,000 passes.

Earlier a single judge’s order had permitted in February, the distribution of 15,000 complementary passes for India-West Indies test matches during November 6-10, 2011.

The court said the February order was not limited to the World Cup alone and was for other matches as well.

The court made the clarification while adjudicating a plea by one Gurpreet Singh and directed the DDCA to comply with the February 2011 order till final disposal of Singh’s plea. (IANS)
