Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has hailed Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s efforts and described him as the “best captain” he has ever played under, according to reports.

“In all the years that I have been playing, Dhoni is the best captain I have played under. I think he is a fabulous captain. He stayed calm, patient and at the same time very clever and alert,” Tendulkar said.

“Situational awareness has been his greatest strength and obviously to know every individual and his likes and dislikes is important. And he has been at it throughout the tournament,” he added.

“Dhoni reads the situation well and is open to sharing ideas. He always has discussions with bowlers, batsmen and senior players separately. One more good thing is that he is always calm and never shows his frustration. These are some of the human qualities which have made him such a good captain,” Tendulkar said.
