Dinesh Chandimal likely to replace Kumar Sangakkara for Pakistan ODI

Young Sri Lanka wicket-keeper wicketkeeper Dinesh Chandimal is likely to replace Kumar Sangakkara behind the stumps in the upcoming One-day internationals against Pakistan.

The Sri Lankan selectors are planning to relieve the former captain Kumar Sangakkara from stumping and field Chandimal behind the stumps.

The left-handed batsman will continue to play in the ODI team as a specialist batsman as in the Tests, despite being relieved from his role behind stumps.

Sangakkara (33) has played 301 ODIs and has been a star member of the national team for the past decade.

Chandimal (21) hit the limelight with his glorious century against England at Lord s in July this year.
