Dinesh Karthik engaged to squash player Dipika Pallikal

Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik is engaged to squash player Dipika Pallikal.

According to report in Deccan Chronicle, both Karthik and Pallikal went through their fitness sessions under the same coach and gelled well during the training. The report states that the couple got engaged in a grand function at the Taj Grand Chola in Chennai.

Pallikal is India’s top-ranked women squash player. Karthik is currently out of the Indian team. Though he was part of the side that won the ICC Champions Trophy 2013, he missed the subsequent ODI series played by India. For the tour to South Africa, Wriddhiman Saha has been included as second wicketkeeper instead of Karthik.
