Joel Paris bowled Morne van Wyk and Cody Chetty off the fourth and fifth balls of the match to get Perth Scorchers off to a tremendous start against the Dolphins in the fourth match of the Champions League T20 (CLT20) 2014. He was on a hat-trick, but Keshav Maharaj managed to survive.

Earlier, Dolphins’ Morne van Wyk won the toss and elected to bat first. This is a match between the top teams from South Africa and Australia, and promises to be a true clash of champions. The 43-year old Brad Hogg returns to play for Perth, and is perhaps the oldest player in the history of the tournament.
