Dwayne Bravo becomes the third West Indies player to score 1,000 T20I runs. He went past the 1,000-run mark during the match between West Indies and South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2016, group stage match at Nagpur. Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels reached this feat before Bravo. Samuels just reached 1,000 runs just a few overs before Bravo did. A win for West Indies in this match will take them to the semi-final of the tournament. Bravo also has 46 T20I wickets to his name. Bravo like a few of his West Indies teammates is a popular figure in India as he too plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He used to play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) along side Indian players like MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja. He will play for the newly-formed IPL franchise Gujarat Lions (GL), which will be led by Raina. CSK was banned for two years after its involvement in match-fixing in the previous editions of the IPL.
