Ellyse Perry, Australia’s woman cricketer has said that even though she is engaged to Matt Toomua (who will be in England playing for Leicester, rugby club), she will find time to meet her fiancée. She added that she will balance her professional and personal life accordingly. Toomua plays in Australia’s rugby team (the team is also known as Wallabies). He was recently signed up by Leicester for a three-year term. Perry is one of the finest woman cricketers that Australia has produced. She also plays football for Australia’s national team. Perry is currently playing for NSW Breakers in Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL). READ: Ellyse Perry wins ‘Outstanding Woman in Sport’ award

In a conversation with Sydney Morning Herald she said, “It really doesn’t change too much for me. I’ve spoken in depth to Cricket Australia about it and I am very keen to stay involved in the WNCL, the WBBL and the W-League. It might mean I spend more time in England and there’s a new super league that is starting there next year, so if I’m able to get a gig in that, that would be fantastic. For me, it doesn’t really change too much in terms of my commitments. I’ve had a lot of conversations with CA and they are really comfortable with how things are set up. I’ll still be available for all of those things and it will just be about when there’s an opportunity to go over to England. I will obviously go over there and be with Matt, but there might also be some chances to play cricket.” Women’s Ashes 2015: Ellyse Perry pleased with her bowling

“I think it was a really wonderful opportunity for Matt, but for us both, it’s a really great life experience. We’ve both been playing in the same spot for about 10 years each, him here in Canberra and myself in Sydney. It was just a really great opportunity and I think that’s something that we’ve both always looked at sport as a way to expand your horizons. I guess the time is right for us, but I’ve still got a lot I want to achieve in Australia. I haven’t forgotten that.”
