England’s Test skipper Andrew Strauss feels that England should cointinue to pile up the agony on the Indian team by beating them in their own backyard when they meet in a five-match One-Day International (ODI) series, starting October 14.

Strauss wqas quoted in The Daily Star as saying, “It was fantastic, an outstanding series win. We all know how formidable India are in that form of the game.

“So to see some of the young guys come in and take their chance bodes really well for the future in the one-day game. It was actually a very fitting end to the summer. And it’s now going to be a big test for the one-day team in India.”

Strauss said he was confident of England performing well in Indian conditions. He said, “I’m sure they will go there with confidence and excitement that they can do something quite special.

“Then we’ve got a lot of tough cricket ahead of us. It’s been a fantastic summer for English cricket. But now we need to go on to bigger and better things.”
