England team meets Ed Sheeran in Pune
Incredibly popular British singer Ed Sheeran organized a special meet-up with the England Cricket Team on the opening night of his India tour in Pune on Thursday. Sheeran’s ‘Mathematics’ tour kicked-off in Pune as he mesmerized his Indian fans with brilliant performances.
The singer invited the England team to his show as well. The Three Lions were in the city for the fourth T20I against India which is set to take place on January 31 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
Sheeran was provided with a signed jersey by England skipper Jos Buttler. The jersey was signed by the entire England squad. In return, the pop singer provided the England team with the jersey of English football club Ipswich Town FC.
“A ‘Perfect’ evening! Thank you to @edsheeran for inviting our squad and backroom staff to the opening night of his India tour in Pune. After catching up backstage, Ed and @josbuttler swapped shirts – with Jos now the proud owner of a signed @IpswichTown top,” England Cricket wrote on X.
England come into the fourth match of the T20I series against India, trailing by 2-1. After losing the first 2 matches held in Kolkata and Chennai respectively. They did however, pick up a much-needed victory in the third T20I held in Rajkot.
