The first One-Day International (ODI) between England and Australia has been delayed by rain in Leeds at Headingley on September 6, 2013.
This is the first of the five-match ODI series between the two teams. There were reports for the last few days that rain could play spoilsport during the first ODI.
England and Australia are coming away from their respective victories against Ireland and Scotland in the one-off ODIs. England beat by six wickets in Malahide. Australia beat Scotland by whopping 200-run margin in Edinburgh.
Prior to that, England had won the Ashes 2013 series 3-0. The Twenty20 International series finished 1-1. Australia won the first match in Southampton by 39 runs and lost the second match in Durham by 27 runs.
England are led by Eoin Morgan and Michael Clarke will captain Australia.
