There was no respite for Bangladesh in the morning session of Day Two. South Africa continued choking them by scoring runs by hundred. Captain Faf du Plessis and Hashim Amla were the wrecker-in-chiefs, adding overall four centurions to the scorecard. They went into lunch at 530 for 3.

Amla scored his 28th hundred in Test cricket and is now only behind Jacques Kallis (45) in the tally for South Africa. Du Plessis, on the other hand, scored his 7th hundred. The duo has added 242 for the fourth wicket.

South Africa have enough runs on the scoreboard, but they look in no mood to let the Bangladeshis bat soon. Perhaps they want to suck every iota of energy from Mushfiqur Rahim and his men, leaving them hapless.

Bangladesh have used as many as 8 bowlers, but none of them could trouble the hosts on a track that has a tinge of grass on it. Subashis Roy and Rubel Hussain are the only wicket-takers.

The morning session was delayed due to rain. To make up for the lost time, the umpires decided to lunch a bit later than the scheduled time.

Brief scores:

South Africa 530 for 3 (Dean Elgar 113, Adien Markram 143, Hashim Amla 132, Faf du Plessis 120*) vs Bangladesh.
