Faf du Plessis steps up as the captain of Delhi Capitals as Axar Patel misses out due to being sick
Faf du Plessis came in place of Axar as DC skipper v MI
Delhi Capitals (DC) stand-in skipper Faf du Plessis stepped up as the leader for today’s (May 21) Indian Premier League (IPL) clash against Mumbai Indians (MI). After he won the toss, du Plessis revealed that this clash is a must-win clash for the team.
He also revealed the reason for Axar Patel not being present at the place, stating his health to be the reason for him missing the game.
“(On Axar) Unfortunate for him, really sick in the last two days, down with flu, so we wish him all the best. He’s been excellent for us this season, and we’ll definitely miss him today,” Faf Du Plessis said during the toss.
