Faiz Fazal, who is making his debut for India in the third One-Day International (ODI) against Zimbabwe at Harare is the only player in the squad, who does not have an Indian Premier League (IPL) contract. Fazal comes in place of Karun Nair, who scored 8 and 39 in the two matches in the series so far. Fazal received his maiden India cap from skipper MS Dhoni ahead of the third ODI. Fazal has however played in the IPL, when he represented Rajasthan Royals (RR) for a couple of seasons in 2010 and 2011. But he has not been picked by any franchise since then. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: India vs Zimbabwe 2016, 3rd ODI at Harare

Fazal’s selection for the Zimbabwe tour raised a few eyebrows, but he has been one of the consistent performers in the domestic circuit for Vidarbha.  He has also had a brief stint in England, where he represented Hetton Lyons Cricket Club in Durham. Fazal is the man for the big occasions as he scored match-winning tons in the Deodhar Trophy Final 2016 and also the Irani Cup final 2016 against Mumbai. He also scored a century on First-Class debut in 203 for Vidarbha. India vs Zimbabwe 2016, Live Cricket Updates, 3rd ODI at Harare

Fazal is also a handy medium pace bowler and has a decent economy rate for a part-time bowler. He will partner KL Rahul on his debut. Rahul has been in good form of late. He had a good time in the IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and also struck a century on his debut in the first ODI. He and Fazal will look to get India off to a good start.
