Former Baroda captain Jacob Martin joins Congress

Jacob Martin, former captain of Baroda Ranji cricket team, joined Congress on Tuesday.
Siddharth Patel, former president, Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, was present on this occasion.
Talking to reporters afterwards, Martin said, “I want to start playing another innings by joining the Congress party and serving the community. I liked the ideology of the party, so I joined it.”
Martin has played 138 first class matches scoreing over 9000 runs. He also represented India for a brief stint during the tour of Australia in 1999-2000. (PTI)
