Former Indian coach and KKR bowling coach set to hold a Special Training program in Sri Lanka

Former Indian bowling coach Bharat Arun is going to conduct a special 14-day training program for Sri Lankan cricket across men’s and women’s junior and senior teams. This program is also for the coaches on June 2nd.

In a statement on Friday May 30, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) informed that Bharat Arun is going to hold training programs for their man’s and women’s national teams, Women’s A team, U-19 men’s team, coaches of the High Performance Centre, club and provincial coaches as well as coach educators.

Bharat Arun, who was India’s bowling coach from 2014 to 2021, is going to be the second former coach of the national team after R Sridhar who will be conducting training sessions for cricketers from the island nation, and he is going to begin the program by training the U-19 men’s squad.

Bharat Arun is also going to hold separate strategy sessions with the men’s red-ball and white-ball teams respectively, and will also conduct technical and skill-based training which will be with the help of fast bowlers.

The 62-year-old Arun, who worked in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) bowling coach, is also going to hold video and performance analysis sessions, which will involve both the players and coaches. This session will also involve on match scenarios in order to develop the game understanding of the members of a team.
