Former Kerala Ranji Player K R Krishna Varma died after falling off a moving train at Vaikom in Kottayam.
The mishap occurred yesterday while he was on his way to Palakaad from his residence at Pandalam, Kerala Cricket Association sources here said.
50-year-old Varma was a member of Ranji Trophy squad in 1986 and was in the under 19 and under 22 squad of Kerala during 1979-82.
He was working as a coach in Palakkad and leaves behind his wife and a daughter.
