Queensland batsman Peter Forrest is set to make his One-Day International debut for his country in Friday s encounter with Sri Lanka at the WACA. However, Australia s coach Mickey Arthur is unsure who he will replace in the team.

Forrest had a prolific Sheffield Shield season this year, scoring 581 runs at a supreme average of 54.05 and has hence, earned his selection into the team. Despite a mediocre domestic one-day form, Arthur says he wants to test the youngster at the international level.

“Likely Peter Forrest might get a go, but we still have to have a lot of discussion,” Arthur said.

“I am not sure yet where he fits in. but we’ll have some discussion leading up to the game.

“Nobody wants to rest which is great, the guys want to keep playing and they realise we are starting to develop a really good talent pool now. Places are at a premium and there are a lot of competition for places, which is perfect and it is right.”
