Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has rated South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis ahead of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid in Test cricket.

Though the Indian duo has scored more runs than Kallis, Ganguly believes the latter has been more effective in the traditional format.

While comparing the three players on Star Cricket, Ganguly said, “Definitely Kallis.” The debate came to the fore on Star Cricket as former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting on Tuesday became the third batsman in the history of Test cricket to score 13,000 or more runs during his century knock against India in the fourth and final Test

Tendulkar leads the list of top run scorers in Test cricket with 15,432 runs followed by Rahul Dravid (13262) and Ricky Ponting (13039).

The South African all-rounder scored 12, 260 runs in 150 Tests at an average of 57.02 in addition to 274 wickets in Test cricket.
