Former champions and hosts Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Gautam Gambhir was unfortunately run out for a healthy 51, against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), in Match 48 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016, at the historic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on Monday. It was a shuffle by Gambhir towards the leg side, but was never a run there, as Pandey comes a long way down the track, only for Gambhir to retreat towards the non-strikers end, but was too late. Currently, KKR are 91 for the loss of two wickets in 11 overs, with Manish Pandey on 35, and Yusuf Pathan coming in. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Match 48 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Both teams will be going into this match with a lot of confidence, having won their previous ties in convincing fashions. RCB posted a whooping total of 248 for 3 against a hapless Gujarat Lions (GL) bowling attack, with AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli scoring their respective big tons. RCB as a result won the match by 144 runs, which has done their net run rate a world of good. KKR on the other hand were set a target of 66 in nine overs against Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) after rain had halted the game early on. It is expected to be a humid day in Kolkata and will not be surprising to see some rain in the night, which could halt play for a while, just like it did in the previous outing.
