Glenn Maxwell, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 winning Australian was dropped by his county team Yorkshire due to disciplinary reasons, Fox Sports reported. “It was just unprofessional behaviour and I don’t wish to add anything further. It has been dealt with and we have moved on and the slate is clean. As soon as the decision was made we cracked on,” said Yorkshire coach Jason Gillespie. He was left out of the final Natwest T20 Blast game by his team, Yorkshire Vikings. Earlier, he had replaced Aaron Finch who was ruled out due to injury. Maxwell said that he has always wanted to play county cricket and test his skills as he believes he could learn a lot over there. Maxwell, who has had a struggling career at the longer-format of the game, made his last Test appearance against Pakistan in the UAE last year before he was dropped from the squad for Australia’s 2-0 series win over India in the home summer. This does not go well for him as he has had such issues before.
