Through with international cricket, former England off spinner Graeme Swann has found another exciting avenue to invest his time in, by choosing to participate in the finale of this year’s FIA world racing championship.

Swann is an ardent motor sport lover so the idea of competing in this year’s FIA world racing championship to be held later in Wales this month naturally piqued his interest and he has decided to oblige.

When asked about his first experience he jokes about hitting a fence post in a matter of fact manner,as though he were telling you what he ate for breakfast. “I got in my suit, got in my helmet and got out on the track. It was raining and got a bit slippy, which made me hit a fence post! It was all good, though, and great fun”, he told sportsmole.co.uk.

Admittedly nervous to begin with, the former English spinner reckons the excitement completely outweighs the nerves for him, which in any case have been shoved off after his first stint on the race track,”Undoubtedly there was some nerves before today, but now it has changed into complete and wild excitement.”
