A great step has been taken in cricket on Sunday, January 4th. During the fifth test of the Ashes game between Australia and England. However, both the teams gather together and pay tribute to the unknown heroes.

The tribute was given to those heroes who bravely fought and responded during the mass shooting at Bondi Beach. However, before the beginning of the match, both teams formed a guard of honour on the field. The whole crowd and stadium applauds them to show their support and love.

However, there is one moment of the day which makes everyone emotional in the crowd. When Ahmed al Ahmed, who ran towards one of the attackers and wrestled the gun from him and saved everyone from a big harm, walked onto the field and receive a great amount of love, support and pop from the whole stadium.

However, Cricket Australia chief Todd Greenberg look onto the issue and called it “a devastating tragedy“.

The incredible acts of bravery by first responders and community members at the scene of the Bondi attack were a reminder of the spirit of community and self-sacrifice that unites us as a nation,” he said.
