Born April 30, 1987, Rohit Sharma, the Indian opening batsman and Mumbai Indians (MI) captain, celebrates his 31st birthday on Monday. Rohit is considered to be one of India s most limited-overs talented batsmen, and also has the merit of scoring two Test centuries in his first two innings. Rohit has the record of highest individual ODI score 264 which he scored against Sri Lanka in 2014. He is the only cricketer to have scored three double tons in One-Day International (ODI) cricket which he achieved against Australia and Sri Lanka (twice).

Rohit to his credit has the honour of being the second Indian to score two centuries in Twenty 20 International (T20I). Rohit is used to take additional responsibility on the field, having captained Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to three titles.

Below are Rohit s statistics in all formats of the game for India:

Rohit Sharma M Runs HS Ave SR 100s 50s
ODIs 180 6,594 264 44.55 86.96 17 34

T20Is 79 1,852 118 30.86 135.77 2 14

Sadly, in red-ball cricket, Rohit has been found wanting against quality attack, especially with the balls that move in late. We at CricketCountry wishes Rohit on the auspicious occasion of his 31st birthday.
