The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has wished their star player and one of the most dominating batters of all time. Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh as he is celebrating his 44th birthday on December 12, 2025.
The caption of the post reads, “402 international matches, 11,778 runs, 148 wickets and two World Cup titles â Happy Birthday, Yuvi!”Â
Yuvraj Singh was a stylish left-handed middle-order batsman and a left-arm orthodox spinner. His great batting, outstanding bowling, brilliant fielding , and commitment to the game serve as a living inspiration for the modern generation.
On Yuvraj’s birthday, the popular Indian Premier League franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore, posted a heartfelt post describing him as a champion in every sense. The post stated that Yuvraj not only provided fans with immense enjoyment of the game of cricket, but he was also a warrior on the field and a brilliant match-winner in his time.
However, Yuvraj Singh also played for popular franchises like Kings XI Punjab, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals (then Delhi Daredevils), and Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
Yuvraj Singh stunned the world by hitting six consecutive sixes in an over off Stuart Broad in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Then, four years later, in the 2011 ODI World Cup, he delivered such a remarkable performance while battling cancer that he earned the Player of the Tournament award.
Yuvraj Singh scored 8,701 runs in 304 ODIs, taking 111 wickets. He also represented the country in 58 T20Is. However, it was in Test cricket that Yuvraj’s ambition to play more matches remained unfulfilled. He played 40 Tests, scoring 1,900 runs at an average of around 34.
