Harbhajan Singh is all set to tie the knot with model-actor and long-time girlfriend Geeta Basra on October 29, according to a report on Hindustan Times. The veteran off-spinner, who played the first Test between India and Sri Lanka at Galle, will marry Basra in a ceremony whose venue is believed to be in Phagwara, 20 km away from Harbhajan’s hometown of Jalandhar. The above-mentioned date however, is liable to change should Harbhajan be picked for India’s home series against South Africa, which is scheduled to take place in the same month. The couple have been in the limelight for many years now due to their much talked-about relationship.

Harbhajan recently made a comeback into the Indian side after a long period of absence when he was picked for the Indian squad that toured Bangladesh for a one-off Test, registering decent figures of 3 for 64 in the rain-marred Test that ultimately resulted in a draw. He was later picked for India’s tour of Zimbabwe, in which they played three One-Day Internationals (ODI) and two Twenty20 Internationals (T20I), not making much of an impact during the tour. He managed to get a solitary wicket at the expense of 90 runs in the first Test against Sri Lanka, following which he was dropped in favour of Stuart Binny in the ongoing second Test at the P Sara Oval in Colombo. Harbhajan is currently India’s third-highest Test wicket taker with 417 scalps, behind Anil Kumble (619) and Kapil Dev (434). READ: Harbhajan Singh should be dropped for the 2nd India-Sri Lanka Test
