Harbhajan Singh has smashed a quick-fire half-century to give Mumbai Indians a glimmer of hope. His fifty came off 19 balls to give Kings XI Punjab a few shivers. It happens to be the fastest fifty by a Mumbai Indians batsmen. The effort may have come a tad too late however as Mumbai Indians top order performed very badly. The required run rate is still above 18.
His effort included four fours and fives sixes. He even took on bowlers like Mitchell Johnson and came out on top. KXIP at one point looked like they would cruise with a huge victory by the innings has put fear in them.
Earlier, George Bailey led from the front as KXIP reached a commanding 177 for five. Virender Sehwag played an innings that turned back the clock, scoring a characteristic 36 off 19 deliveries. However, the likes of Glenn Maxwell and David Miller failed, as KXIP were left floundering till Bailey saved them.
