Hashim Amla became the fastest player to 3,000 one-day international runs during the course of his 150 that set up the South Africa’s 80-run win over England at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

Amla’s brilliant 124-ball knock, featuring 16 fours, saw him reach the landmark in 57 innings compared to the 69 it took West Indies’ Vivian Richards, one of cricket’s all-time great batsmen.
