Rajasthan Royals rising star Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s coach Manish Ojha is confident that the young talent will make it to India’s T20 squad. His brilliant performance in Jaipur against the Gujarat Titans marked the beginning of that journey.

Suryavanshi stunned everyone in the high-profile league, at just 14-years-old. His magnificient century off just 35 deliveries lit up the Pink City and left a lasting impact. He became the fastest Indian to hit a century in the IPL and, overall, the second-fastest after the legendary batter Chris Gayle.

Manoj felt immense pride as he watched his pupil dominate the Gujarat Titans experienced bowling attack, which has a combined 694 international caps, with both aggression and confidence. He shared insight into the 14-year-old’s mindset while batting, revealing that the teenager focuses on respecting good deliveries and punishing the bowlers for any loose balls.

“As I said earlier, he will be part of the T20 Indian team, so he has taken the first step towards that goal. The aggressive style he displayed and the confidence with which he was playing were commendable and a matter of great pride for me as a coach. He respects the good ball and punishes the bad ball. This has been his batting tendency right from the beginning,” Manoj told ANI.

Vaibhav’s impressive knock came to an end in the 38th delivery of the innings. Prasidh Krishna sent him back to Rajasthan Royals dressing room with a fiery yorker. Despite the loss of the 14-year-old, the damage was too great to recover from, as Rajasthan secured an 8-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans
