Kolkata Knight Riders entered the upcoming IPL Auction with Rs 64.3 crore remaining in their budget. The team can now add 13 more players – six from overseas and seven from India – bringing their squad to the maximum size of 16. Ajinkya Rahane was retained for Rs 1.5 crore, Sunil Narine for Rs 12 crore, Rinku Singh for Rs 13 crore, and Varun Chakaravarthy for Rs 12 crore.
The Kolkata Knight Riders will not have any Right to Match (RTM) cards in the auction, However, the teams could retain any numbers of players with no set limit.
