Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi, who made unsavoury comments against Indian cricket star Sachin Tendulkar, says he is a huge fan of the Indian batting legend and even has a signed picture of Tendulkar hanging in his drawing room wall.

“I am a huge fan of Sachin. He is not only a great cricketer but a humble human being as well. I have only one photograph on the wall of my drawing room and that is of Sachin. It has Sachin’s autograph on it, do I need to say more,” said Afridi.

Afridi had stirred another controversy by claiming that he saw Tendulkar legs trembling while facing Shoaib Akhtar. Later on, he clarified by saying that he did not intend to question Tendulkar s greatness and was only referring to one incident.

The former Pakistan skipper meanwhile denied apologising to Tendulkar, saying there is no need to do so. “The whole matter is blown out of proportion by Indian media. Sachin is a great cricketer and he will understand what I am saying. I have not said anything wrong,” he said.

The entire episode started when retired Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar made scathing remarks against Tendulkar in his biography ‘Controversially Yours , claiming Tendulkar being scared to face his scorching pace.
